Do you think the outcomes were accurate?
I am not a constant game player, I even cannot remember the last game I played but with recent recollection into game history I remembered the games I had played very long ago. This is not that I do not like playing games but simply been occupied with more concrete work either at home, work or at my online classes that games are been pushed back from my mind as these sometimes hook you into countless wasted hours.
Fighter
Fighters love to test their mettle and will seek out stronger and stronger enemies. A fighter will almost always be seeking ways better their individual skills or boost the competitive capabilities of those on their side. Fighters are the soldiers and the guardians in a multiplayer game. They aim to dominate their opponents, but do not always mean them ill will in the sense their enjoyment does not always come from the suffering of their foe; no it can also come from the successful protection of a friend or an asset, or the pure thrill of a good scrap. Fighters can be likened to achievers who lack a solid goal, but rather love pursuing their abstract goal of killing, often for the adrenaline, or for furthering someone else’s more solid, more reasonable goal.
Game Player Archetype
Was there anything about the outcomes that surprised you?
A fighter is someone who does not give up. The Kukadoo’s test of player Archetype Quiz categorized me as a fighter. Although it surprised me I think the description suits me right. I will seek ways to better my skills as an individual or boost competitive capabilities. Being strong is one of my personalities and other guardians.
With the games I played earlier I have always been challenged to win the game although winning is not putting down someone to win. I will look at the surroundings to help anyone who comes along the way but will try to do my best and achieve success. How did your Gaming and Board Game Motivation Profile compare?

Board games motivation Profile

High Conflict vs. Low Conflict with a high conflict score 89%, I seem to be more competitive and enjoy games where players can take hostile actions directly against each other. This way of playing could be stealing another players’ resources, forcing them to discard, blocking their move, or directly attacking and destroying their units/building which compares me for the fighting character that was identified earlier in Archetype. On the social manipulation, I am not sure where I belong but seem that it could be that I am more transparent and concrete game play mechanics where dishonesty doesn’t play a role. Strategic vs. Relaxed a gamer with the high strategy I enjoy taking cognitive challenges and prefer a lot of thinking and planning. Through discovery has a broad interest in rule sets. With a motivation to win, I care a lot about winning and happy when the margin of victory is overwhelming as I enjoy soundly beating an opponent. Immersion vs Grounded as immersion takes a role in a believable alternate world with its own wisdom, history, culture and cast of interesting characters. Being an aesthetics the amazing artwork and beautiful component illustrations are very important. Gregarious vs independent, I love to have a good time with others, playing towards a common goal, a high chance to enjoy the elements of luck in their board games and prefer games that has a broad range of people who can pick up an enjoy.
Overall, it confirms that I am a game player although I do not make my time off to play games. Knowing that games are not played only as an entertainment but as a learning process, the profile revealed and inspired me to try some games at a later stage. Having started my journey as a programmer, who knows maybe I will start creating learning games once this class session is over.
