I was thrilled to take a glance on my timeline and to note that I have almost finalized according to my plan. I have the time to re-run and check my course for these two days before the final completion. This gives me time to think and re-think of any improvement that I deem to be included in the course.
I have practically completed the course according to my timeline and waiting for my reviewer to give me constructive feedback and anticipate that they would catch something that I have not. The process of feedback has given tremendous ways to improve and reflect my course as the reviewers view this as a student and that is the main objective of this course to satisfy the student so that course will be easily accessible and will be beneficial to the student in their learning process.
In the process of developing my course in canvas, the initial challenge was being open up to learn canvas and work my way through each module of canvas development, then incorporating my work into canvas, uploading multimedia files. Although incorporating my initial directions, discussion and assignments were easy. On multimedia incorporation, I was challenged to make my way to have all aligned in order while adjusting the widths and heights in each of the modules and having spaces in between which I struggled to have the way I wanted it to appear.
Keeping up to the timeline was difficult while working full time 10 hours, managing kids and family and the time allocation between the two subjects I was taking this summer. The development of the course involved concentration and selecting materials and multimedia files to be incorporated which needed to be proper, interesting, attracts the attention of the student and most of all selecting videos that could be watched to the end to grab the learning outcome from the video. These took most of the time to watch, make notes and pick the best to be included in the course. Throughout the searching process of videos, I also did change my final design documentation where I incorporated a few more reading materials and new video clips that would contribute more knowledge to the student.
On the implementation and evaluation of the e-learning course, I would have liked to implement this, I doubt this very much as I need to assess how ready my organization is to accept the e-learning, although I would be able to run through and evaluate the e-learning course through my department of instructional designers where I am currently working in.
