Topic: Are you interested in using a multi-strategy approach for research? Why or why not?
I am interested in using a multi-strategy approach for research, which provides qualitative and quantitative analysis, brings positive knowledge by both methods, and explains the outcomes and trends. If the research results do not make sense, there could be a way to clarify what has been initiated. There are also the possibilities that qualitative research can explain the pattern for further understanding when the quantitative data identifies patterns. Using these research methods concurrently could expand, strengthen the conclusion, and validate the research study.
What would make the approach useful for a dissertation or an impediment to completion for you?
The dissertation will be the most extended piece of writing that I would generate, a more in-depth investigation based on the research, and will hand over a complete picture of the solution to a problem. The research will complete qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis approaches to find the big picture. Quantitative research will quantify the problem by generating numerical data while transforming into compatible statistics while quantifying attitudes, opinions, and behaviors on a larger sample population. The data can be measured to formulate facts and to uncover a pattern of research. The data also could be gathered by online surveys, different kinds of survey methods, and paper surveys, including online polls and paper. The qualitative data research will let us understand the reason and opinion and examine more profound problems to find ways to build the hypotheses. Thedata collection includes focus groups, interviews, participation, and observations.
In the same way, having a positive idea of formulating my research on the camp-based population and the information does not have to involve quantitative analysis but qualitative research to obtain a broader methodology, I would go with the Qualitative research practice.
Would purposeful design be appropriate to the kinds of research topics you are specifically interested in? Why or why not?
I am interested in the overall funding for the most vulnerable people and how much funds get distributed to these people; the wastage of purchasing, luxury living, the management of assets, and staff recruitment are some of the main things that have become a failure. The other interesting topic is the education system, the duplication of work, the unwanted spending, making way for the younger generation to be employed, by the older generation going with their retirement in due time. Also feels the positions are not open for the younger faculty members to fill the positions; as such, they work as adjuncts in the system. Sharing of information for the others’ upliftment, having backup plans as the rotation of some full-time staff is high. Another purposeful design I can think of is public transportation, which in Texas is a failure. What is working at present is limited transportation; there are a few direct train services to Dallas and some other places, there are busses where it takes 2 hours to reach the destination when it is only 15 minutes to go by vehicle. If the transportation service can be improved or uplifted, people do not have to spend time, money, and energy on the road to get to the destination; college students do not have to own a vehicle when they could have public transport. The limited transportation system impacts older people, too, when they must obtain someone’s help to move them around. With the above, I think the purposeful design will be appropriate.
