What is my general worldview in terms of what I think can be known, why that is the case, and how we can best understand the world?

My general worldview of what I think can be known as “if you seek you shall find.” With the background on existence that shapes our attitudes, actions, beliefs, and viewpoints, the worldview suggests us several ideas about what can be identified and how it can be recognized. Our worldview will include us towards certain kinds of answers and shape and inform our experiences of the world around us. These experiences affect what we see, how we see, and how others have interpreted it. We can understand the world through our experiences which guides how we solve problems.

What is research to me? What is its purpose? Do I prefer numbers or narratives or both?

Research is conducted through a systematic inquiry that involves the collection of data. The data is then documented, analyzed, and interpreted to verify facts and reach new assumptions and knowledge. I prefer narrative research to numbers as my main area of research is on educational practices that uncover people’s thoughts, opinions, and experiences via surveys to improve people’s livelihood and provide educational settings to improve the population’s fundamental rights.

What is your main focus in terms of what you are planning for future research? Are you interested in higher education, K-12, corporate, or other settings/topics? Are you looking to switch your focus to a new setting as you move forward in your career?

My focus is taking education towards remote and refugee settings.

(1)       Having worked for the UN refugee organization, seeing, and learning the environment these vulnerable people go through for a crime they have not committed, education is necessary which will build and strengthen the community they live in and seek to acquire knowledge beyond the refugee camp through virtual reality.

(2)       With COVID-19 pandemic education came to a standstill 1.6 billion in over 190 countries student education was impacted by the global shift to online learning. I am interested in researching a solar-powered education model that can connect these learners to have a stable education.

Working in an educational environment and seeing some issues that could be improved I see the need for research, although as at present it will be beyond the point that I can handle and will not switch my settings as I feel the need is more towards the learners who are waiting to be educated outside of this scope.
