This week, part of my writing was on the literature review. Searching for research documents that fit the proposed solar-powered energy method of a research system took some time. Most research articles were written with the SolarSPELL, a creation of Arizona State University, and a bundle model created by the university. I propose a single unit that can be purchased over the counter or a bigger solar unit that could incorporate the proposed technology. While searching, I found many openings that could help with this project. Although one part of my completing the doctoral program is drafting my dissertation, the other is my enthusiasm to help learners who have difficulty learning and growing. When I also research rural areas in Texas, many numbers could be facilitated. As referenced here are 181 Texas counties that are named as rural. Texas has more rural students than other states combined, which counts over 700,00 than other states. 60% of rural district does not offer advanced placement courses. Moreover, 33% do not have internet connectivity, and nearly one million cannot participate in remote learning. This reflects a pathetic situation for our future generation.
Getting started off writing my research method gave me more interest in learning more about qualitative research with phenomenology. I also listened to YouTube videos which sometimes give a better understanding and explanations. As phenomenology describes understanding the universal essence of a phenomenon, the approach to investigation is through human experience. While on education research, phenomenology allows researchers to describe and help understand difficult and complex phenomena. I was learning about phenomenology while writing the research method. I realized that there is so much to learn about phenomenology, the approaches, and the ways to apply it in analyzing and carrying out the research, which is challenging and exciting. While searching, I came across the video done by Walden University about the” Phenomenological Dissertation writing chapters 1-5” Part 1 and Part 2, which was exciting and well explained. However, some rules may be changed in UNT the explanation was very clear. Although some scenarios were new to me, as I do through more research articles, the puzzle would set in the unknown words used in articles will get more evident to me. I want to learn more about the research methodology that I would be using for my dissertation. I would have to aim to describe as accurately as possible, and how each will fit my research study as the researcher, I need to set aside the prejudices and how well I could focus on the experience. As the research method is descriptive, phenomenology is very powerful in understanding the subjective experience and gaining what people’s actions and motives are. I also would like to know the difficulties that could come up while analyzing the interpretation, validity, and reliability and how my research study of educational learning would fit into the phenomenological methodology, which could be an advantage before headings for data collection.
